What Happens at Your Exam

The appointment itself is more routine than most people expect. We start by checking your photo identification and going through whatever immunization records you've brought. Dr. Weiss then performs the physical examination USCIS requires — a general assessment covering your eyes, ears, heart, lungs, abdomen, skin and neurological function. Blood is drawn and a urine sample collected in our own office for the required laboratory testing, and tuberculosis screening is completed at the same visit. Documents to Bring to Your Appointment

Three things matter most: valid government photo identification (an unexpired passport is best, a driver's license works), any immunization records you hold — foreign-language records are perfectly fine — and documentation of any significant medical history, particularly a previous positive TB test or treatment for a chronic condition. Why Accuracy Is What You're Actually Paying For
